Demsa Health care service: Adamawa LG Hdqr gets 60 bed cottage hospital after 33 Yrs

In line with his vision to transforming the health sector, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State, Friday, commissioned the sixty-bed cottage Hospital built by his administration in Demsa town.

The brand new hospital is the first secondary health facility established in the headquarters of Demsa Local Government Area since after the creation of the Council in 1991.

Speaking at the event, Governor Umaru Fintiri maintained that his administration in its efforts to ensure healthcare service delivery and disease control has not left anything unturn for the well being of the people in the state.

Aligning to the national healthcare policy, Governor Fintiri says the government has embarked on the derive towards establishing cottage hospitals in each of the 21 local government areas of Adamawa.

He revealed that the state government under his watch has invested heavily in the health sector through among others projects such as world class laboratory, dialysis centre, hospitals and clinics.

The member representing Demsa in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Kate Mamuno, thanked Governor Fintiri for executing many projects in her constituency.

Earlier in his remarks, the Commissioner of Health and Human Services, Chief Felix Tamgwami saluted Governor Fintiri for his prompt responses to containing emerging diseases such as Lasa Fever, Measles in the state.
