The Director General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, has congratulated Amb. Mohammed Mohammed on his appointment as the new Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).
Yakub described the appointment as a “resounding testimony” to Amb. Mohammed’s capacity and experience as a career diplomat.
Yakub praised President Tinubu for recognizing Amb. Mohammed’s sterling qualities and placing him in a position where he can excel. He expressed hope that Amb. Mohammed would draw on his wealth of experience to make the country proud.

In a letter, Yakub stated: “This new appointment is a testament to your capacity and experience as an outstanding diplomat, careerist, and top civil servant… We pray for the wisdom, brilliance, and strength to fulfill the desires of all those who have invested confidence in your ability to succeed in this new national assignment.”
Amb. Mohammed has served the nation in various capacities, including stints at the State House, Abuja; Islamabad, Pakistan; and Tripoli, Libya. He succeeds Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar as the new DG of the NIA.
