The newly sworn-in Director General (DG) of Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA) Mr. Micheal Zira, PhD, has commenced a familiarization tour to enlighten the people of Adamawa of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s agenda of making sure the people of the state are empowered in other to fight the scourge of poverty.
Zira carries the mandate of the agency and creates massive awareness of the government’s efforts to fight poverty through its program of Business Wallet.
Because of the stated reasons, Zira last Wednesday on a familiarization visit went to the Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development and interfaced with Alhaji Hammanjumba Gatugel, the commissioner, and the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Kwaji.
Mr Zira while trying to be acquainted with the ministry and the officials of the ministry knows the new PAWECA Leadership solicited their support in ensuring that the empowerment programs of Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is executed and fair to all the citizens of the state.
While thanking the DG PAWECA, the Honorable commissioner described the familiarization visit as timely, and apt and urged him to work assiduously by leaving no stone unturned regarding the Governor’s vision of alleviating poverty in the state.
Zira’s visit to the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Adamawa State chapter secretariat equally sensitized the religious organizations to the coming empowerment Programme of Business Wallets being planned by Governor Fintiri.
The essence of the visit to the religious organizations by Mr. Zira is to call on the leaders to create more awareness on how the upcoming event will focus on women and Youths.
While responding, the CAN Chairman, Rev. Dr. Joel Manzo JP, applauded Gov. Fintiri’s commitment towards improving the lives of Adamawa citizens in all facets of life, especially the numerous empowerment programs he has and the laudable physical Infrastructural Development work across the twenty-one local government areas.
Pastor Manzo assured Zira of the Christian body’s renewed commitment to prayers for the success of the Fintiri government as is focused on placing the state on the anal of developmental history.
