Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, on Sunday, won the Peoples Democratic Party governorship primary election in Kogi State.
Melaye was declared winner by the returning officer on Sunday.
The former lawmaker scored 313 votes to defeat Idoko Ilonah who had 124 votes.
Other aspirants – Awoniyi Sunday had 77 votes while Musa Wada had 56 votes.
Dino will slug it out with the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Usman Ododo, in the November governorship election in the state.
