In a statement, Esimone appealed to the government to reconsider its decision, citing concerns about the university’s stability and potential consequences for students and staff.

The Federal Government should not set UNIZIK on fire

“The Federal Government should not set UNIZIK on fire,” Esimone said. “The university is a strategic institution, and any mistake can have far-reaching consequences.”

Esimone’s removal has sparked protests from students, academics, and alumni, with many questioning the government’s decision. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has condemned Esimone’s sack, calling it “unjust.”
