…..says nomination of APC member for reward poises a threat to the party
Youth of Numan Ward three of the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) , Numan Local Government area of Adamawa State have cried out over the insensitive of some critical stakeholders of the area of refusing to adhere to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s passionate instruction of sending names of loyal member who have worked on the success of the party during the last election for reward.
The youth in a statement worried about the undemocratic treatment of Dr Aminu Aliyu who have served the party well in Numan to an overwhelming victory but because of Politics and religion sentiments is being denied to be part of Fintiri’s reward system.
According to them Aminu in the last four years has been one of the best political appointee in the entire numan federation, fostering peace and unity amongst youth by organising a yearly seminar and dinner.
As a loyal PDP Man who believe in the vision of Governor Fintiri, they said Aminu constructed over fifty boreholes across the eleven wards of Numan Local Government.
The Youth recalled how Aminu empowered over two hundred youths and women and until date he remains the only appointee that has the highest Financial contribution in the area.
Stating his much involvement in the last election, the Numan Youth said Aminu defeated and reduced the strength of opposition party by suppressing their votes in their strongest hold dominated by APC party
“He supported ward three clinic with equipments worth five million Naira and rekindled the popularity of PDP amongst Hausa Fulani in Numan.
“He has been the most hardworking aide who has contributed most to the success of PDP in numan.” The Statement read
The Youth in their statement lamented how the instructions given by Governor Fintiri during the last stakeholder meeting that nomination be done by larger PDP members to send names of most hardworking party member for reward but violated by some stakeholders in Numan
“In Numan LGA, the story has always been about religion ahead of hard work, one critical factor the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar lost election in the area to Peter Obi of Labour Party.
“Dr Aminu has not only been the best appointee in numan, but the best in numan federation. He is second to none. He brought stability and peace empowerment and made a lot of people decamp to PDP.
“It is not surprising that some powerful and mischievous masquerades both in PDP and APC have been working hard to cripple the young humanitarian personality due to fear of the successes, empowerment programmes, water projects and growing popularity he attained in the past four years. The fear of the young politician taking over the political space in Numan is the phobia dealing with some so called critical stakeholders.
“Such fear made the PDP ward EXCOS who were remotely controlled by their mischievous masters to fill in an APC Christian Youth in a Muslim dominated ward, who also isn’t from the ward and has not contributed to the ward.” The statement further read
They called the attention of Governor Fintiri to understand that the appointment of some people has poised a threat in the area, especially the nomination of APC Christian politician from Ward two by some EXCOS who are driven by religion sentiment.
“The so-called nominated candidate Arc Zidon is from ward two and has no voting polling unit in ward three.
“Ward three is dominated by 90% Hausa Fulani Muslim, imposing against the wishes of the voters is a violation of the democratic norms and is not going to foster unity of the PDP party.
