Paninga, Chairperson of Adamawa State Planning Commission, is set to receive a prestigious award for leadership excellence at the 2024 United Nations International Day of Peace celebration. This award recognizes her outstanding contributions to public service, human development, and humanitarian efforts, which have significantly promoted peace in her community and Nigerian society at large.

Established in 1981 by the United Nations Resolution No. 36/64, the International Day of Peace is observed annually on September 21. This year’s theme, “Cultivating a Culture of Peace,” highlights the importance of promoting non-violence, education, dialogue, and cooperation. Dr. Paninga’s impressive profile showcases her academic achievements, including a degree in Accountancy from the University of Maiduguri and multiple postgraduate qualifications from renowned institutions.

As an exceptional Adamawa woman, Dr. Paninga has gained international recognition and traveled globally for professional development courses. Her commitment to peace and development is evident in her initiatives, including the Women Economic Emancipation Initiative (WEEI) NGO.

Her extensive experience spans various roles, such as Project Accountant, Head of Financial Management Unit, and Member of the Board of Management at Ahamdu Bello University Teaching Hospital. As an exceptional Adamawa woman, Dr. Paninga has gained international recognition and traveled globally for professional development courses. Her commitment to peace and development is evident in her initiatives, including the Women Economic Emancipation Initiative (WEEI) NGO.
