An All progressives Congress (APC) stalwart from Adamawa state, Dr Umar Duhu said all the appointrments given by the executive Governor of Adamawa state,Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow are justifiable by all standard.
Duhu further buttered his arguments by given some example with Jada Local Government has two Commissioners and are both Christians in sensitive Ministries, namely Fatima Atiku Abubakar and Bala Silas Sanga as Commissioners for Health and Justice respectively.
According to him If one take a proportionate census of Christians to Muslims in Jada Local Government, you will arrive at a decision if the Muslims deserve only the appointment of an Adviser to the Governor of Adamawa State or not.
“All this appointments so far made by Governor Mohammed Umar Jibrilla Bindow are not only justified, but belated.” Duhu said
“Yola South whom are predominantly Muslims has no Adviser despite voting against their 2 Sons in favour of the incumbent.” He added
Umar explained that the Commissioner from Guyuk LGA is also a Christian and almost all the political leaders in the LGA,wanting to know if the Muslim Community there deserves no voice in the Government of Bindow or not.
“The Honourable Commissioner from Ganye as well as Toungo LGA are both Christians. What is therefore wrong appointing a Muslim as Adviser or they too have no voice in the Government they helped to enthrone?” He asked
”We also have a Christian Commissioner from Hong LGA, the LGA of the erstwhile SGF. Does the Muslims there don’t deserve their fair share as they voted en mass for the APC?”
He argued that Mayo Belwa LGA have Christian Evangelist as a Principal Special Adviser,calling for all people in the state to change the narrative of “we” versus “them” for peace and tranguility to thrive.
Recall that the Governor Bindow led administration swears in 8 advisers last week who were coincided to be all Muslim, the appointment that do not go down well by some people in the State.
