The Honorable Commissioner of Finance, Shizzer Bada, has congratulated the Christian faithful on the occasion of Easter while calling for the safe release of all kidnapped victims across the State.
Shizzer in a statement signed on Friday and issued to Journalists in Kaduna, calls on the entire Christians faithful to use the Easter season to offer prayers for peace, development, and prosperity of the State.
She said the Easter season should serve as a reminder of the selflessness, love, sacrifice, and tolerance of Jesus Christ throughout His earthly sojourn, his death, and his resurrection.”
She admonished that development and growth can only take place when the people are united and support government policies.
“Christians should not lose sight of the lessons of love and sacrifice which are the hallmarks of Easter – an annual event marking the end of the 40-day Lenten period, as well as the commemoration of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
According to her, “Easter, as one of the pillars of Christianity , provides an opportunity for spiritual cleansing and devotion through supplication and worship.”
While decrying the alarming rate of abductions of vulnerable citizens in Kaduna, state, the workaholic Finance Commissioner, urged Kaduna citizens to support the State Government led by Governor Uba Sani to solve the State’s problems.
“There is a need to put all hands on deck to support the Government and the Military in ensuring that all kidnapped victims are released and reunited with their families.
She urged clerics to emphasize peaceful co-existence, unity, and piety, throughout the Easter period and beyond.”
Kaduna is facing another round of challenges that requires the masses’ support towards their leaders to overcome all the challenges in the Country.” She added.
She urged to exemplify God’s virtues by showing love, and empathy as well as seeking forgiveness at all times.
