The Immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Barr (DR) Boss Mustapha has enjoined Christians to operate in God’s economy despite the seeming hardship being experienced around the country.
Boss admonished Christians in Adamawa during a Sunday Service at the Government House Chapel in Yola reminding them that God’s economy supersede any economy in the world.
According to him no matter what the economy is telling us, believers in Christ should not believe the lie the devil is cooking up that is not going to be well with us.
He charged that God is in control of all things and situations, and in situations like this Christians have to pray for God to endow them with the resources to take care of them not to lament over the current happenings of the economic downturn.
He Said Christ gives believers a life of abundance and as such they should not allow the devil to be cooking up all sorts of stories that the present life to live is too difficult and unbearable because of the bad economy.
Mr Boss while encouraging worshippers on the need to always pray and not to lament, wished them well and a peaceful Christmas celebration, and prayed that God is big enough to take care of our needs not the economy of the country.
He employed them to revive the ministry of prayers, not lamentation, and reconcile believers back to Christ through reaching out to the unreached, especially the unbelievers wallowing in sins with no one else to preach to them.
“We will make it to 2024, the year will end in glory and none of us shall miss out because God will do a new thing for Nigeria and every one of us.
“We are operating in God’s economy, even our Leaders depend on us to pray for them. Let’s pray for our country, we must do that, and if we Cannot pray then we are not doing the ministry of reconciliation.”Boss said
He said their prayers for the Land (Nigeria) is one of the Biblical injunctions that a Christian must maintain till Jesus returns.
He recalled that the current happenings in the world, ranging from economic downturns, wars, and unusual happenings are the signs of the end time.
In his words, the former SGF admonished them to give birth to the first love of Christ in them by doing More Evangelism as the only thing that would fast forward Christ’s return.
In a coincidence message, the Church Sermon by the guest speaker, Rev Canon Sylvester Uzoh who preached on the Topic: “Help from above” and took his Bible root text from the book of Psalms 121:2 said the happening around the world defiant all solutions and only God has the final answer, solution to all problems.
Revered Uzoh preached that with all the abnormalities going on in the world, it’s time for government, people and individuals to go back to God for a solution.
He said the situation is beyond Man. It’s beyond government or even the acclaimed world powers.
According to him the help of Man will only come to him when he takes his eyes off the government, the people, and all the powers in the world.
He stressed that Christian help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth and they should understand that nobody helps anyone until God moves the person to come to their aid.
Reverend Uzoh said one will remain perpetual poor if he trust is in Man not God as currently the World is in a form of confusion and everyone is looking for help including the governments and the world powers.
“God Is expecting us to go back to Him, when we do that He will turn around our situation. He still wants to fulfill His purpose on earth. He knows our problems, he knows our challenge if we can only run to Him for help, He will sort out all our needs.” Uzoh said
