ECWA General Secretary Calls on Women to Embrace Vocational Skills Amid Modern Challenges

The General Secretary of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev. Dr. Ayuba Asheshe, has urged women to prioritize vocational training as a vital tool for overcoming the demands and difficulties of contemporary life.

Rev. Dr. Asheshe delivered this charge during the 2026 Women’s Fellowship Conference jointly organized by the Jos Central and Miango District Church Councils (DCCs).

The event was held in Kerker, Jos South Local Government Area, for the Jos Central DCC session, and in Miango, Bassa Local Government Area, for the Miango DCC gathering.

In his address to the women attendees, the ECWA General Secretary highlighted the indispensable role women play in advancing the Great Commission the church’s mission to spread the Gospel.

He assured them that the church leadership fully recognizes and values their tireless contributions, encouraging them not to grow weary but to persist in their service.

Addressing the ongoing security concerns impacting the Miango community and surrounding areas, Rev. Dr. Asheshe commended the women for their remarkable steadfastness and resilience.

Despite the persistent threats and hardships, he noted, they have refused to let adversity weaken their faith or commitment to the church.

The General Secretary further lauded ECWA women for their exemplary determination across different areas of life, proving their worth through unwavering dedication and strength in the face of trials.

Concluding his message, Rev. Dr. Asheshe reaffirmed the church’s unwavering support for the Women’s Fellowship.

He assured the women of ECWA’s continued backing for their programs, spiritual development, and empowerment initiatives, including efforts to equip them with practical skills for today’s world.

The conference served as a platform for encouragement, fellowship, and renewed resolve among ECWA women, particularly in regions grappling with insecurity, while emphasizing self-reliance through vocational training as a pathway to greater independence and impact.
