ECWA Marks Historic Milestone as President Rev. Dr. Bagat Commissions New Trustees Lodge During 73rd General Church Council

The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) on Wednesday continued its celebrations at the ongoing 73rd General Church Council (GCC) meeting with the official commissioning and dedication of the newly built ECWA Trustees Lodge, described as a faith-driven project now realised to the glory of God.

The impressive edifice was formally commissioned by the ECWA President, Rev. Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat, at the ECWA Headquarters in Jos, Plateau State, in the presence of all members of the General Church Council.

In his address, Rev. Dr. Bagat expressed profound gratitude to past church leaders who envisioned and initiated the project.

He particularly commended the various District Church Councils (DCCs) for their faithful 15% remittances, which played a pivotal role in bringing the vision to fruition.

“The lodge was conceived by faith and executed by faith,” the ECWA President declared, highlighting the collective effort and divine provision that made the state-of-the-art facility possible.

Prior to the commissioning, brief technical presentations on the project were delivered by Trustee Prof. Basil Nwosu, Architect Elder Iro Yusuf, and Engineer Mr. Stephen G. Paul.

Responding on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Basil Nwosu, who represents Zone 9, thanked the church leadership for prioritising the construction of such a “beautiful, remarkable, and state-of-the-art edifice” dedicated to the Trustees.

He assured the ECWA Executive and the General Church Council of the Board’s continued support and commitment towards the sustained growth and advancement of the church.

The colourful ceremony concluded with a note of thanksgiving, as participants joined in giving glory to God for yet another milestone in the life of ECWA.

The commissioning of the Trustees Lodge adds to the significant achievements recorded at this year’s General Church Council, further strengthening the administrative infrastructure of one of Nigeria’s leading evangelical denominations.
