ECWA President, Top Leaders Escape Unharmed in Minor Convoy Incident

The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), one of Nigeria’s largest Protestant denominations, has confirmed that its President, Rev. Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat Mallam, and the Assistant General Secretary were involved in a minor convoy incident on Monday, March 16, 2026, but emerged completely unhurt.

In an official press release issued by the Acting ECWA Public Relations Officer (PRO), Danjuma Dickson Auta, the church described the event as “mild” and emphasized that neither leader sustained any injuries.

Both officials are reported to be in good health and spirits, continuing with their regular schedules without interruption.

“We are deeply grateful to God that neither the ECWA President nor the Assistant General Secretary sustained any injury whatsoever,” the statement read.

“The incident was mild, and both leaders are alive, well, and continue with their schedules in good spirits.”

The release highlighted the church’s appreciation for the outpouring of concern from members, well-wishers, and the public following initial reports of the incident.

ECWA attributed the leaders’ safety to divine protection and called on the Christian community to continue praying for the church’s leadership and the entire denomination.
