Education: LGA Chair, Idi Amin Distributes teaching materials to 85 schools

Eighty Five Public and private schools have received hundreds of school instructional materials from the Chairman of Maiha LGA area of Adamawa state, Alhaji Idi Aminu (Idi Amin).

The materials distribution were carried out by the Education stakeholders of the area to even Islamic and Christian private schools in Maiha.

According to Idi during an interview that his Passion to join Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow of the state to revive the ailing sector is one of the reasons that poke him to provide the materials for the schools.

He further said that Jibrilla has demonstrated a superior wisdom by declaring a state of emergency in the sector which is yielding positive results.

“I m following in the step of my Governor who has set an agenda to revive the education sector in the state,and my agenda is also set to make sure public schools in Maiha are equally revive.” Idi Said

Idi who sends a delegation under the Education Secretary of the LGA to share Chalks,writing materials and dusters to enhance teaching abilities to both teachers and school pupils he is going to do much more in no distance.

The Headmaster of Jalingo Maiha Primary school, Mr Jega Abubakar responded that the gesture done by Aminu is rare and one of it’s kind that has never been done.

He appreciate the Chairman for prioritising Education above any other thing in the LGA.

Urging him to do more in improving the working condition of teachers by prompt payment of their salaries,gratuities, pension and allowances.
