In a pre-dawn operation on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested 10 suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja. The suspects were apprehended at the River Park Estate in Lugbe area of the Federal Capital Territory.
Items recovered from the suspects include:
Luxury Vehicles: A Range Rover, two Lexus cars, and a Toyota Camry
Electronic Devices: Laptop computers and iPhones
The EFCC has been intensifying its efforts to combat internet fraud in Nigeria. This arrest is the latest in a series of crackdowns on suspected fraudsters in Abuja.
The Commission has reiterated its commitment to bringing perpetrators to justice and protecting the public from cybercrime.
