According to reports, the EFCC recovered N550 million from an estate developer, who testified in court on Wednesday. The witness revealed that the money was part of the funds allegedly mismanaged by Bello during his tenure as governor.

Bello is facing a 12-count charge of alleged fraud, including dishonestly using the state’s treasury to fund his personal projects. The EFCC alleges that Bello, along with two other defendants, Umar Shuaibu Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu, conspired to commit the fraud in 2022.
