
….invites permanent Secretary Ministry of LGA affairs
Economy and Financial Crime commission (EFCC) through a letter to the secretary to the state Government, Adamawa State Government House, Yola have visited the state to investigate a case of alleged criminal conversation, fraud and diversion of public fund.
The letter which dated 25th June, 2021 with a headline ” Investigation Activities: 1.Remodeling of Yola modern Abbatoir, 2.Printing and supply for books of account to the 21 LGAs and 50 development areas is the corruption fighting agency to investigate in connection with above mentioned contracts.
The official letter with a reference numbers as follows CR:3000/EFCC/HQ/ABJ/CTGIP5/-2/T.3/VOL.14/967 revealed that the agency has the imperative need to seek certain clarification from the ministry of local government affairs.
“In view of this, you are kindly requested to inform/release the permanent Secretary for the ministry, Mr Kennedy B. Dauda to attain an interview with the undersigned through the head of CTGI/PS2 at CTGI PS2 office, 2nd floor, EFCC Headquarters, plot 301/302, institution and research District, Jabi Abuja on Monday, 5th July, 2021 at 1000 hours.
” Mr Kennedy B Dauda is expected to come along with the following; Award letter of the contract, acceptance letter, contract agreement,payment vouchers and details of the account(s) maintain by JAAC.” The letter stated
The letter which TGNEWS editor seen going viral in many social media platforms (Whatsapp, Facebook) could however not authentic it real source.
But a Facebook user who do not want his name to be mentioned told this medium that someone close to the government of Adamawa posted the letter in error in one of his social media handles as the letter was later removed.
