The Internally Displaced persons (IDPs) in Adamawa state which were camped at the permanent camp of Malkohi of Yola South LGA in the state has today enjoyed the presence of Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow to Mark this year Sallah celebration.
In order to show his love for them Governor celebrated the sallah by wining , dining and dancing with the hundreds of IDPs children at the camp.
According to him the IDPs are just at the receiving end of insurgents attacks but they are very important like every individual in the society.
“The main aim that we are here is to celebrate with the IDPs, as far as this government is concern this human beings are people like us it is just an unfortunate thing that happened to them which we all know”. Bindow said
He prayed for President Muhammadu Buhari for working hard to wade off the operation of insurgents in the entire North East that God should keep him and do more of the good work he is doing.
He called on the IDPs to access the Agriculture loans initiated by the president as it will go a long way in reducing their pains and adding food produce in the country.
He also draw the attention of the IDPs over the making of body lotion trade business which they had learned on their stay at the camp and promised to support them at all cause to succeed in the business.
An IDP woman who cannot tell of her husband whereabout and has four children from Madagali,Habiba Abdullahi said Bindow has made their day and felt at home and happy to have eaten and danced with him to Mark this year Eid -del Kabir.
“Nobody has ever done what this governor did, not only eat among us the IDPs but dance with our children, we are so so happy”. She said
Bindow who visited the camp with his entire cabinet,some members of the state’s House of Assembly, security chiefs in the state and religion leaders to celebrate with the IDPs.
