Election results : Sheik Khalid calls for calmness, sues for peace among Nigerians

Popular Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Muhammad Nuru Khalid (Digital Imam) has sued for Peace among Nigerians especially now that the announcement of the 2023 election results being collated is causing disharmony.

Worried that palpable tension in many parts of the country because results of the President and National Assembly ongoing collation is not a good omen.

The Digital Imam who is known for his open constructive criticisms and telling truth to power called on Nigerians to stay calm in the interest of peace.

Khalid in a statement said the election should be a pillar of strengthening the democratic system and unite the country in getting the right leaders after everyone four years not to further divide us.

He enjoined Nigerians, especially the political parties and their candidates to accept the outcome of the election in good fate as God’s divine arrangement.

Khalid who is well known as Digital Imam and has million of followers in many social media platforms as vanguard of peace, equity and justice said at this defining moment of the country’s democracy, there can never be anything more than peaceful coexistence, unity of purpose.

He said whatever the outcome of the election, no Nigeria should die over the ongoing exercise because human beings are more precious than mundane things.

“A single soul is far better than every electioneering process no matter how good it is to our nation. I, therefore called on all Nigerians to shun any attempt or temptation to fight because of this election.

“We are to accept the outcome of this election in good fate and pray to God to give us transformational leaders who are humanity inclined. All we need are good leaders who have a mind and acts of kindness to all people.

“We only need leaders who can be fair and just to all people irrespective of religion, tribe, or region. Let us stay calm and peaceful, accept the outcome of the results in good fate.” Khalid said
