Emnamu Foundation, a non governmental and non political organization was founded less than five years ago with the sole aim of serving humanity through support and job creation for the teeming youth and vulnerable in the society.
The Foundation was founded by Chief Dr Emmanuel Musa from Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State. Chief Musa is a young hardworking and dutiful worker, whose commitment to duty has stood him out from the crowd of his contemporaries. Growing a hard fighter and go-getter, his various activities had already exposed him to the high and mighty that he became a very close ally of many Adamawa senior citizens which most of them supported and mentored him to his present status of an Iconic philanthropist. Being vested with business acumen, it was not difficult for him to build a business empire out of almost nothing with little encouragement.
Dr Musa’s delegience and versatility made him benefit enormously from the then government through contracts and supplies. His nag for excellence was aptly displayed in his delivery of jobs under the Presidential Initiative on the North East Region.
Dr Emmanuel Musa’s generous nature and his passion for giving back to the society by helping the poor, vulnerable and less privileged in the society paved way for the founding of Emnamu Foundation.
The Foundation has touched the lives of many particularly the needy that cut across the three geo-political Zones of the state with meaningful initiatives that make the Foundation unique.
Since its inception, the Foundation has been in the business of putting smiles on the faces of the poor and making meaning of the lives of the vulnerable and less privileged.
The Foundation broke the records when it presented keys to a newly built and befitting home to a widow, Mrs Rikatu Joshua in Mudaguba, Mubi North Local Government Area, who has worked honestly with the Foundation in the area to the bewilderment and appreciation of the beneficiary, her relatives, community leaders and the general public.
The Foundation has also in the recent past visited the Mubi Correctional Facility to donate food and non food items to them worth millions of naira namely; mattresses, mosquito nets, bags of rice, bags of garri, blankets among other things. Speakers from the incharge at the Correctional Facility to the inmates could not hide their love and appreciation to a man, who has the well-being of the people at heart.
In the spirit of the Ember months, the Foundation in collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) organized a sensitization campaign for motorists in line with the activities associated with the season and tagged ‘Speed thrills but kills, drive safely and avoid overloading. The idea is that safety can guarantee the well-being of the society.
It could be recalled that Dr. Emmanuel was the Son of the day, on 3rd December, 2023, for the launching of Lutheran University of Nigeria at Demsa where he was the highest donor of five million naira and the guest speaker, on the 4th, for harvest thanks giving at LCCN shagari, where he empowered 100 widows with five million naira and food items and gave the Church over twelve million naira.
The activities of this Foundation presents a huge lesson to other well meaning persons, corporate bodies and even government agencies. The lives of the vulnerable and less privileged should be of paramount importance to our well placed citizens and corporate bodies. All hands must be on deck to reverse the tide of poverty in the land.
Dr Musa has the ambition of doing much more to the benefit of the people especially in the midst of the untold hardship in our country. The task is indeed enormous, the Foundation obviously cannot carry out the onerous task alone due to the very lean resources at its disposal. We call on all and sundry to lend a hand to fixing the sad situation.
