A Frontline politician Engineer Adamu Isma’ila Numan has declared his intention to contest for the Adamawa South Senatorial seat at the national assembly with a pledge to use his connection and experience to attract federal projects to better the lives of the electorate in the zone.
Engr Adamu Isma’ila who made his formal declaration at Makwada Square Numan Wednesday says his decision to join the Senatorial race followed wide consultations and calls from political groups and critical stakeholders from the nine local government areas.
He said, his concern is to provide good representation across all sectors and the devidends of democracy to the people of Numan, Demsa, Lamurde, Guyuk and Shelleng and that of Mayo Belwa, Jada, Ganye and Toungo a Senatorial zone with nine local government areas
He added that the southern senatorial district is the most diverse zone in the nation, consisting of myriad of ethnic nationalities with six first class kingdoms out of eight first class kingdoms, Chiefdoms and Emirates in the state.
Engr. Numan said, If given the mandate to represent Adamawa south at the red chamber of the National Assembly, the masses the Senatorial District he will facilitate the legislations that will promote peace, progress and good governance for the people of Nigeria in general and Adamawa Southern Senatorial zone in particular.
He added that, the southern Senatorial zone will benefit from the establishment of Federal Institutions such as Infrastructural development, Agriculture, exploitation of solid minerals, promote economic empowerment of youths, women,small scale traders and tertiary education and health institutions and speedy rehabilitation and maintenance federal highways in the zone and the state at large.
The aspirant charged the delegates of the zone to be vote for competent and credible candidate that will have sustained concern for their aspirations and feelings not only when their votes are needed assuring if given the mandate he will carry them along.
In his address the chairman of the occasion Alhaji Umaru Mijinyawa Kugama advised the people to go for Engineer Numan considering his track record in the civil service and contributions towards moving APC forward in the state and the country at large.
Speaking during the declaration ceremony the All Progressives Congress APC Deputy Chairman Mr. Sama’ila Taddawus while commending Engineer Numan for his contributions to the party, assured of free and fair primaries and appealed to the electorates to do everything possible to ensure that they have voted for sellable candidate.
On their seperate remarks stakeholders from the zone Mr. Shem Dimas, Hamman Gangsifa and Joseph Eric urged the people of the area to ensure that they have return the APC in twenty twenty three general elections to complete the infrastructural development projects across the country.
Earlier in his welcome address the APC Chairman Numan local government Mr Ndikashe Mariko solicited for support of the delegates from other local government to vote for Engr Adamu Isma’ila Numan as senator representing Adaamwa south senatorial district.
Highlight of the event was presentation of Bwate traditional costumes to the aspirant who is also the son of the soil in Numan federation and traditional dances that added color to the event.
