The Adamawa Emirate Council has conferred the prestigious traditional title of ‘Barde Adamawa’ on Engr. Saidu Njidda, mni, in recognition of his remarkable achievements and contributions to the community. This esteemed title was announced in a letter dated March 7, 2025, signed by Kabiru Bakari, Tariyan Adamawa, and Ag. Secretary of the Adamawa Emirate Council.
His impressive background includes being an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and the Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies
Engr. Njidda, a skilled engineer with expertise in agricultural and civil engineering, hails from the lineage of Modibbo Adama, the founder of Adamawa State. As the former Chairman and CEO of the Equipment Leasing Registration Authority (ELRA), Engr. Njidda has demonstrated his commitment to giving back to society. His philanthropic efforts include donating a water cooler center to General Murtala Mohammed College in Yola and connecting several villages to the national grid.

In a gesture of unity and inclusiveness, he has announced that he will henceforth write “Adamawa” as “Adamoua” to signify the goodwill messages and inclusiveness he has received from Mokolo and Rai Buba in Cameroon.
