Flagbearer of the Social Democratic Party in Abia State in 2019 governorship election, Blessing Nwagba, and former Chairman of Ukwa West Local Government Area, Hon Sylvanus Nwaji have joined the All Progressives Congress.
Their defection came as Chief Chibuike Onyeukwu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Architect Anagha Mba defected to the party.
While speaking at their reception programme at the State APC Secretariat in Umuahia, they appreciated the APC leadership for accepting them into the folds and promised to give their best.
They also vowed to help the party win the 2023 governorship election with their strength in the state politics.
While receiving them, the Abia State chairman of APC, Donatus Nwankpa, lauded the moves by the new party members.
He assured them of being treated like quality members of the party.
The chairman also implored the party members in the state to ensure adequate participation in the ongoing INEC continuous voters registration.
