Ex-gov of Benue State, Ortom vows to Chase Gov Alia out of Power in 2027

The immediate past Governor of Benue State Chief Samuel Ortom has restated the readiness of his party to oust All Progressives Congress come 2027.

The Ex Governor who is also leader of the Peoples Democratic Party made this declaration on yesterday while addressing leaders of G: 14 elders forum who paid him solardarity visit at his residence in Makurdi, Benue State.

The leader maintained that he is no longer seeking political office ahead of 2027 but would remain relevant in grooming younger generation by encouraging participation

He however described the recent wranglings by a section of the party who claimed congresses was not held in the State.

Dimising the allegations as untrue saying in recent times, the national secretariat has adjudged our congressesses as most orderliness as well as ward and local government congresses insisting that even State Congress Coming up next week Thursday were even approved by the National body.

Earlier, Speaking leader of the G:14 Dr laha Dzever told the leader of the party Chief Samuel 0rtom that it was same venue his house where Fomer senate president David mark and Senate minority leader Senator Abba Moro and Senator Gabriel Suswam jointly presented you to us as the leader of the party two years ago.

” But am surprised with unfolding development whereby some of them playing anti – party few days ago after they held Consultative meeting rose they came up with nasty messages that henceforth our position dissolved. ”

He further reiterated our status remained irrevocable saying nobody born of woman is capable to dislodge the elders forum in the party.

He however recalled that if not the sacrificed 0rtom rendered by fighting tooth and kneel to ensure Fulani Jihadists didn’t took over Benue Valley by now it could have been something else.

Other elders who spoke on behalf of their zones affirmed that 0rtom remained our indefatigable leader describing him as dogged fighter assuring no one is capable to scarter the unity existed in the party in the state.

The occasion also withnessed presentation of Fourteen chairmanship candidates for the 0ctober 5th forthcoming local government elections in the State.
