Political activities in the main opposition party APC picked up for the first time in about 2 years when the party lost power to the PDP in 2019.
The major event that rekindled the party was the return of former Governor Bindow to Adamawa State.
From the event of his reception at the Airport to a motorcade through the City of Jimeta to his Dougire residence, his visits to some selected Traditional Rulers as well as his visit to the Party Secretariat were morale booster for the APC in the State.
His Dougire residence was a beehive of APC activities as group contacts and consultations by virtually every APC faithfuls including those who worked against the party in the build up to 2019,thronged his House for a handshake or homage.
The tumultuous reception in Mubi was cheering.To them was a home coming and the return of the APC lifeline. His home in Mubi was like a Mecca of sort.
Youths, elders, party and non party members in their thousands scramble to have a glimpse of the former Governor.
This is apart from the series of meetings the former Governor had with ex-Legislators,former Commissioners,former Council Chairmen and Councillors, former advisers party groups from state and LGs among others.
It was a Hope alive for the APC in view of the unfolded event. Flags of the party that were hitherto at half mast were suddenly restored fully preparatory to kick starting the APC registration exercise slated for 25th January, 2021.
