Ex-Nigerian First Lady Patience Jonathan Bags PhD from Ignatius Ajuru University

Former First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan, has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rivers State. The honorary doctorate recognizes her remarkable contributions to education, humanitarian service, and the advancement of women and children across Nigeria.

The convocation ceremony, held at the university’s main campus in Port Harcourt, was attended by dignitaries, academics, and well-wishers. In her acceptance speech, Dame Jonathan emphasized the value of education as a tool for empowerment and encouraged young Nigerians to focus on academic excellence and nation-building.

The Rivers State Governor commended the former First Lady for her legacy of service, describing the honor as well-deserved.

This latest recognition adds to Dame Jonathan’s numerous accolades, reinforcing her status as a notable advocate for progress and equity in Nigeria.
