Former National President of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Engr. Daniel Kadzai, made a surprise return to the association’s recent General Assembly, donating ₦1 million and delivering a passionate call for visionary, integrity-driven leadership.

The landmark General Assembly, held in Abuja, brought together delegates from across Nigeria’s Christian blocs to elect a new national executive for the next five-year term. The gathering focused on strengthening YOWICAN’s core mission: empowering Christian youths, fostering unity, advancing faith-based advocacy, and contributing to national development.
Engr. Kadzai, an engineer and respected figure in interfaith dialogue and socio-political issues, received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from attendees. His presence highlighted the lasting respect he commands, even years after serving as national president.
Amid the transition to new leadership, Kadzai announced and handed over a generous donation of ₦1,000,000 to support YOWICAN’s ongoing work.
The funds are earmarked for youth empowerment programs, evangelism outreach, leadership training, and operational needs to help the incoming team launch effectively.
Speaking to journalists on the event’s sidelines, Kadzai reflected on his time with YOWICAN and shared words of encouragement for the future.
“I remain deeply passionate about the role of Christian youth in shaping a better Nigeria,” he stated. “This General Assembly marks not an end, but a renewal.
My donation is a seed of faith and support—may it grow into greater impact for evangelism, leadership training, and unity among our young people.
I urge the new executives to lead with integrity, vision, and unwavering commitment to the gospel and national harmony.”
His message struck a chord with delegates, many of whom described the moment as deeply motivational and a powerful example of selfless service beyond tenure.
The assembly successfully elected Ademola Daniel Arowolo (also referred to as Daniel Arowolo or Ademola Arowolo Daniel) as the new National Chairman. His emergence has drawn congratulations from prominent figures, signaling fresh optimism for YOWICAN’s direction.
As the new executive begins its tenure, Kadzai’s active involvement and substantial contribution have raised the standard for commitment and generosity. It reinforces YOWICAN’s vital place as a unifying platform for Christian youths nationwide.
The event wrapped up on a hopeful tone, with participants energized and ready to tackle upcoming challenges while building on the strong legacy of leaders like Engr. Daniel Kadzai.
