The allegations, detailed in a letter of query dated July 4, 2025, from the Department of Land Administration, claim the actions violate the Public Service Rules (PSR), specifically PSR 100401 and 100402(i) on unauthorized disclosure and breach of secrecy.

The query further alleges that Mairiga’s conduct undermines the integrity and confidentiality required of a public officer, as outlined under PSR 100402(aa). If proven, these actions are deemed serious misconduct and a gross violation of his obligations as a public servant, potentially damaging the service’s reputation.

Mairiga has been given 24 hours to submit a written representation explaining why disciplinary action should not be taken. Failure to respond within the stipulated time may lead to further measures. The letter, signed by Uzo Udegbunam J., Acting Director of Administration, also requests acknowledgment of receipt.

The FCDA has not yet confirmed the authenticity of the leaked documents or provided further details on the investigation.
