Festival:Over 2000 hunters renewed their oath to serve humanity in Adamawa

The formation and advents of insurgents and terrorist groups made serious threats to security issues in Nigeria a daunting one.

To this cause,local vigilante and hunters organization resurrected to join the fight against Boko Haram and other alliance terrorists groups posing threats to human life.

Last Saturday witnessed the reawakening of Over two thousands Hunters from within and outside the country converged at sangere village in Mayo Belwa local government area of Adamawa state to observe their annual salala festival.

The Festival is annually observe to bring hunters organizations,individuals for an oath renewal and commitment to serve humanity.

Our correspondent who was at the venue of the event gathered that, during the festival hunters drink concoction for protection and spiritual healings, rituals were conducted on the hunters’ Dane guns to function effectively against enemy.

Speaking during the event, the north east zone chairman and Adamawa state chairman of the of the Association Alhaji Muhammadu Usman Tola enjoined Hunters in the country to remain steadfast in their commitment towards serving their father land.

While reiterating their commitment to complementing efforts of security agencies to combating crime in the country, Alhaji Tola appreciated state government and Adamawa traditional council for their support to the hunters.

The chairman however, solicited for more support from stakeholders to the association to enable it carry out their activities diligently.

Highlights of the event was launching of a song and goodwill messages from representatives of the group from Bauchi, Gombe, Taraba, Yobe and Borno states as well as neighbouring Cameroon republic.
