The campaign, flagged off on Monday at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Abuja, targets children aged nine to 14 years with the Measles-Rubella vaccine, alongside other critical interventions.

The initiative focuses on strengthening routine immunization, enhancing surveillance and outbreak response, integrating measles and rubella programs into primary health care, and leveraging innovative technologies. This comprehensive approach underscores Nigeria’s commitment to safeguarding public health and achieving a measles-free future.

Health officials emphasized the urgency of the campaign, citing the need to protect millions of vulnerable children from preventable diseases. The government calls on communities, parents, and stakeholders to support this transformative effort to ensure a healthier Nigeria by 2030.
