A Diehard of Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and a staunch supporter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State, Sarkin Zana said that his principal is performing beyond human and capital projects.
Zana disclaimed the views of one Abdullahi Isah (Shugaba) who have called on the Governor to focus on stomach infrastructure as a form of empowerment for the people of the state.
Isa in an interview was quoted to have said Governor Umaru has done well in physical infrastructure but has so much deficiency in what he described as “stomach infrastructure”, meaning to have direct empowerment for the people.
It was based on these issues raised by Isah, Sarkin Zana countered his views and brought to bear that Fintiri is an all-round Governor, beyond the narrowed imagination of enemies of the governor
According to him what is more stomach infrastructure that is more than infrastructure when the Governor has allowed the Local Government council to be autonomous after conducting council elections twice?
He said this is a better way of meeting the socio-economic needs of people directly with the government at the grassroots.
He challenged Isa that since the tenure of Governor Barde up to date no Governor has done much in urban-rural physical development and human capital projects
” On the stomach infrastructure, Isah is making so much about, I want the whole world to know that all the projects done in Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) were contracted out to Party men and women, politicians of all classes, all stakeholders in the state, to even the state chapter of the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Muslim council was all direct beneficiaries. Then tell me what can be more stomach infrastructure than these?
“What can also be of stomach infrastructure than the school feeding program that pupils eat three square meals a day? Under the free education program, he introduced?” Zana asked
He called the attention of Isah to know what he meant by stomach infrastructure Governor Fintiri has passed that stage and the people of Adamawa are never complaining about any other issue.
He however said Isah should know that Governor Fintiri has mandated all the 226 Ward excos of PDP are collecting 10,000 nairas monthly empowerment (Stomach infrastructure,) and Local Government Excos of the party are getting 30,000 nairas as allowances which has never been done before.
He said this just on what Isah is referring to as stomach infrastructure since he admitted that the Governor is excellently doing well for the overall development of the State.
“What else does he want? He has broken the jinx of underdevelopment and poverty. Does he want to hawk money around in a wheel Barrow going from one House to the other and sharing money?
” The problem of some people is that when their stomach is full you can’t hear it elsewhere. They will be silent and eat their gotten food.” Zana said
