In a move aimed at bolstering economic growth and attracting investments, Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has established the Adamawa Investment Promotion Agency (AIPA). This development follows the passage of the Adamawa Investment Promotion Agency Law 2024, which was officially assented to by the Governor on December 4, 2024.
The transformation of our investment promotion unit into a full-fledged agency is a strategic step to unlock Adamawa’s economic potential
AIPA’s establishment provides a solid legal framework for implementing investment policies, making Adamawa a more attractive destination for investors. To drive the state’s investment agenda, Governor Fintiri has appointed Halilu Malabu as the Executive Secretary of AIPA.
Governor Fintiri expressed confidence in Malabu’s ability to leverage his experience to reposition Adamawa as a business-friendly state. “The transformation of our investment promotion unit into a full-fledged agency is a strategic step to unlock Adamawa’s economic potential,” Governor Fintiri stated.
The government is calling on stakeholders, including private sector players, development partners, and investors, to collaborate with AIPA in harnessing the state’s economic opportunities. This move is expected to foster economic growth, attract investments, and ensure sustainable development across Adamawa State.
