The People Democracy Party (PDP) government in Adamawa under the leadership of Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been lampooned to a total failure by the All progressives Congress party (APC).
Ahmed Lawal who is the organising Secretary of APC party in Adamawa state said the PDP ruling party has displayed their ineptitude ability to govern well as nothing tangible to show forth on ground.
Lawal accused Fintiri led administration to fail in recording success despite the billion of naira he met on board on his assumption to office.
He made a reference to the past APC government under the leadership of Sen Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow who within hundred days he awarded the construction of 37 roads in the state, procured 105 tractors, and in 2015 the primary health care was recognised the best as they are 24 hours functional.
Ahmed condemned the notion of prompt payment of state civil servants as a mere propaganda and a disgrace to any government claim to achieve something tangible by paying civil servants rights.
“What benefit is it to the people of Adamawa state you pay salaries and still sack civil servants? Is of no use to brag that PDP achieved something tangible in their 100 days in office with paying the mandatory duty of any government.
” It is by law that any civil servant is entitle to his/her salaries after 30 days of work,so what is so special about that, this money on monthly basis do come from the federation account, which excuse does one have not to pay?
“As a matter of fact PDP government have failed in Adamawa state, when we came on board we hadn’t enough money and we didn’t complain, but they came on board met billions of naira to start something tangible and yet they are still complaining.” Ahmed said
Lawan continue to say that woeful failure of Fintiri government in the last 100 days in office is his inability to form his cabinet.
According to him without cabinet the PDP government are busy awarding contracts to amounting to billions of Naira, questioned who is signing the contractual agreement with no commissioner?
“This is a government with no commissioners and syphoning our money in the name of awarding contracts, the failure is too much in this government.” He added
The Publicity Secretary of APC,Alhaji Mohammed Abdullahi further said that the assessment of Governor Fintiri’s first 100 days will be better if one will look at the achievements of the past government.
According to him it will be right to conclude that the present government has not done enough in its first hundred days compare with the past government where tangible and verifiable projects were done with huge investment in the security architecture.
He also said that the government of PDP claimed that paying salaries is an achievement and so many workers were also sacked.
” I believe that if you pay workers and sack workers there is nothing to celebrated.
“As far as APC is concern PDP in Adamawa state is not having any tangible and verifiable records in the last hundred days.” Abdullahi said
Efforts were made to speak with PDP officials of Adamawa state failed by not picking up their phone calls, the Party Chairman and Secretary phones ringed without answer,Barr A T Shehu and Abdullahi Prambe respectively not not answer at the moment of filing this report.
The Director General media and communication of the Governor,Mr Solomon Kumangar responded as his image maker said for anybody to say that the Government of PDP is not having tangible projects in the state is probably living in the moon not in Adamawa state.
