FIRE OUTBREAK CONSUMED BUSINESS UNIT OF ADAMAWA STATE UNIVERSITY, MUBI

A Fire Outbreak which cause was yet to be identified, on Friday consumed the Business department of the Adamawa State University (ADSU) ,Mubi

An eye witness who narrates the disaster amidst shocks and plead for his identity not to be announced said:”I have never seen this kind of disaster,the fire was just flaming as someone somewhere else is putting it petrol,i want to believe that goods worth millions of Naira were consumed by the incident”.

A student, who spoke on condition anonymity, said the most painful part was that document belonging to departments were burnt.

The inferno is considered the worst since the history of the fire university and only the intervention of well meaning Nigerians will help to stabilize the institution.

The student allegedly noted that the help of the staff and students who came to the rescue prevent the fire from spreading into other buildings.

While inspecting to ascertain the level of the damage, the Vice Chancellor of ADSU, Dr. Moses Zaruwa told newsmen that the burnt buildings destroyed by the inferno is a colossal lost, describing the incident as “highly regrettable, as valuable documents that can help that can help in the decision making of the organization were gutted away by the fire.

Calling on people to remain calm as the Management of the school are working around clock to find a lasting solution hence a committee will soon be instituted to investigate the cause of the fire and also take steps to ensure that such never occurs again.

He however assured Staff and students that the fire outbreak will never any way temper with the ongoing exams and other academic activities in the University.
