Flood: Ex-Zamfara Gov. Yari to Reconstruct 2750 Destroyed Houses in Gumi

Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari, has promised to reconstruct all 2750 houses destroyed by flood in Gumi town and its environs. During a sympathy visit to the Emir of Gumi, Justice Lawal Hassan, Senator Yari announced that a committee has been constituted to oversee the reconstruction project.

Senator Yari expressed his condolences to the victims of the flood and announced immediate relief measures, including:

– 15 trucks of assorted grains

– 10,000 blankets

– 5,000 mattresses

He also disclosed that a committee has been set up to assess the extent of the damage caused by the flood. “I have already sent a committee to assess the damage and make an on-the-spot evaluation,” he added.

Senator Yari urged the committee to conduct the exercise with fairness and integrity.

In response, Emir Justice Lawal Hassan thanked Senator Yari for his visit and generous gesture towards the flood victims.
