Flood ravage over 200 hundreds Houses in Adamawa, Hon Nyampa calls on FG to intervene

The flood that ravaged many communities in Adamawa has been described as a natural disaster that turned Life unbearable to the people of the Michika/Madagali Federal constituency.

The House of Representatives lawmaker representing the area, Hon Zakariya Dauda Nyampa in an interview with journalists in Abuja said over two hundred houses in his constituency were destroyed by the recent floods.

He worried that communities like Shuwa, Kirchiga, and Kamale are going through the excruciating pain of cold, mosquito bites, and facing life-threatening sickneses because their houses are ravaged by the flood.

Dauda said his people are not finding things easy regards farming this year as there are no good roads, high cost of fertilizer is making farming uncomfortable for them.

He said all these menaces have added more pain to his constituents aside from the insurgent’s attacks they are struggling to survive its woes.

He called on the federal government and other humanitarian donor agencies as a matter of urgency to visit his constituency for a rescue mission.

While commending the speaker of the house, Femi Gbajabiamila for sending intervention and empowerment support to his people, he said the federal government has to be fast on making sure floods this year will not cause serious low production of farm products.

According to him the devastating nature of how the flood is destroying houses and farmland is at an alarming rate and the federal government has to intervene.
