Food security: Adamawa Reps donates farming inputs to constituents

In his bid to ensure food sufficiency, viz-a- viz food security, the member representing Numan, Demsa, and Lamurde federal constituency in the house of representatives, Honourable Kwamoti Laori, has donated assorted farm inputs to farmers across the 30 wards of his constituency.

The inputs include; bags of fertilizers, herbicides, spraying machine and improved seedlings.

While distributing the items on behalf of the lawmaker, Honourable Pwagwadi Omeno said the gesture was part of the lawmaker’s contribution to ensure food security in the area.

The two day activity which took place at the rep members constituency office in Numan was attended by a mammoth crowd of beneficiaries from the three local governments.

Omeno promised more of such interventions by the lawmaker in his strides to alleviate poverty and ensure food sufficiency in his constituency.

Appreciating the gesture, the recipients said the move will greatly improve farming in the area just as they said, the gesture will go a long way in arresting food insecurity in the area.

Commending the lawmaker on behalf of the beneficiaries, a farmer, Baba Kavin Damara and Pastor James Malik said the gesture was unprecedented and thanked the lawmaker for remembering them in their times of need.

They promised to make judicious use of the inputs to better themselves and family members.
