Former CDS,Alex’s dead:Adamawa indigenes reacted,calls for renewed security System

The shocking dead of former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Rtd AVM Alex Alexander Subundu Badeh has remain an allusion to the indigenes of Adamawa state to have waken up with the sad news of his demised. To many others is still a mirage,an allusion to a fact based reality.

Our correspondent took a stone straw visit to the House of Badeh along Government House,Dougire in Jimeta-Yola, as at the time of filling up this special report nobody is there. The house is under locks and keys with only armed guard Air force Man securing the House that was under the watch (sealed)/of EFCC.

Alex who is from Northern senatorial zone of Adamawa state, Vimtim,a District in Mubi North LGA left the heart of many Nigerians,Adamawa and Mubi in a shattered hope because of poor security system in the country.

A stalwart of All Progressive Congress (APC) and an indigene of Mubi North,Alhaji Babangida Jibrilla lament the dead of the five star general,describing it as callous and heartless act by the perpetrators,calling on all Nigerians to learn huge Lessons from the dead of the five Star general.

”Lossing a Fiver star general in this manner is indeed simply to say that we are not secure in this country and nobody is safe. It’s a big loss to Nigeria and to the entire people of Adamawa state,especially we from Mubi North LGA. There is a serious security problem in this country the government must rise up to its responsibility of protecting live and property.” He said

In his reactions, the Chairman of Adamawa state chapter of Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN),Bishop,Dr Dami Steven Mamza outpoured the blame on Nigeria security regarding the situation as hopeless in the country where no one is safe.

According to him if the assassinators can get a man at that level it then means that everybody is at their mercies which is a dashed hope of situation we found ourselves.

Mamza is hoping that an investigation will be thoroughly carried out the way it was done for retired Major General Idris Alkali to fish out the attackers.

”Similar investigation and efforts should be done to bring to book those responsible for his dead. If somebody at that level can be killed it means we are at the Mercies of assassinators.

“Government at all level should intensify investigation to apprehend those behind the heinous attack. He lamented

One of his relation who lives in Vimtim,Hon Paul Joseph talking to our reporter in a telephone chart describe vimtim as a village covered in total darkness.

While given the situation in this village Wednesday morning he said prominent sons and Daughters at the earlier hours of Wednesday trooped the family House of Badeh where his Brother Madiga Bade lives receiving condolences messages.

Paul revealed that widows,orphans and less privileged people that constantly benefit from Subunduh foundation, an NGO the late Alex established to carter for the needs of people in Adamawa and Nigeria as a country.

According to him the dead of Badeh has left the Communities of Northern Senatorial zone of Adamawa in great danger, knowing his philanthropical work to hundreds of people.

“We lost a great Man,an assest to every Man in Adamawa especially we from Vimtim,his empowerment programs in the area of agriculture,facilitate the intake of many youths in the Nigeria army will be greatly missed”

The Director General (DG) of Bindo’s campaign organization, Chief Felix Tangwami who is almost in tears Said the dead of Alex can never be regained.

Felix calls for renewed security system in the country, condoling the people of Adamawa state for God to comfort them.

Another politician who is vying for Adamawa central senatorial zone in Alliance Party of Nigeria (APN),Engr Salihu Garba Mama condemned the dastardly act and worried over the incessant killing in the country.

Salihu delved into history time lane of killing prominently Nigeria like the Bola Iges and recently the likes of Retired Major General Idris Alkali,accusing the government of shielding and encouraging the act of assassination to strive in the country as there are no records of bringing the killers to book.

“If a five star general can be killed this way then the country is not secure for people to live in. I’m concern about the poorest security network we have in this country,it is just nothing to write home about” Said Salihu
