Former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has responded to allegations made by Professor Pat Utomi, accusing Utomi of harboring an entitlement mentality.
In a statement released yesterday, Amosun revealed that the Ogun State House of Assembly had blacklisted Utomi due to his involvement in questionable business deals.
Despite this, Amosun attempted to resolve the issue by investigating Utomi’s claims of an agreement preceding his administration.
Amosun’s investigation found that Utomi’s construction project was inappropriate and had been hurriedly executed in an attempt to present the state government with a fait accompli. Amosun offered to refund N100 million, but Utomi pressured him for N200 million.
Utomi allegedly attempted to influence Amosun through his Centre for Value in Leadership, but Amosun rejected his award and did not change his position on the refund.

The former governor stands by his decisions and asserts that one law must be applied to every Nigerian, regardless of status, religion, or tribe. He emphasizes the importance of holding leaders accountable for their actions and not allowing misinformation and dubious tales to mislead the public.
This development comes as the latest in an ongoing saga between Amosun and Utomi, with both parties engaging in a war of words over the allegations.
