Former Secretary to the government of the federation, SGF,Babachir David Lawal in a Press statement signed in denial of having any property dealings with a suspected criminal by name Amina Mohammed who is being interrogation by DSS operatives.
Babachir said his attention has been drawn to an alleged confessional statement made by Mohammed,a suspect in a desperate fort to shield herself from the consequences of her actions mention his name and that of the first Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari as co-conspirators in the alleged crimes.
“I wish to state very clearly and unequivocally here that I do not know and have never had any dealings whatsoever with the said Amina Mohammed or any of her partners in crime. I also do not know one Mary as she said to be a sister to Mrs. Buhari or anyone called Chicason whom she also mentioned.” He said
He further stressed that he has never been interested in property business and have no dealings with the sale of Federal Government properties anywhere in Nigeria.
He lamented that the said publication has caused him and members his family considerable embarrassment as intended by the said Amina and her sponsors.
In the statement he threatened to institute legal action against Amina and any persons involved if the offending statement is not publicly retracted with an apology.
Urging the general public to be rest assured that the said statement is malicious and false and to disregard same.
