Former Zamfara Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, Donates 200 Trucks of Maize to Over 230,000 People

In a bid to alleviate the suffering of the people of Zamfara State, former governor and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, has donated 200 trucks of maize for direct distribution to those in need.

According to the Chairman of the state distribution committee, Hon Lawal M Liman, the donation is aimed at targeting over 230,000 persons across the state. The distribution pattern will see local government areas of Gusau, Gummi, and Talata Mafara receive 20 trucks each, while the remaining 11 local governments will receive 12 trucks each.

Liman emphasized that the gesture is meant to cushion the hardship faced by the people, especially in the light of recent flooding in Gummi and high prices of food items in the market. He charged members of the distribution committees to ensure transparency and inclusivity in the distribution exercise, regardless of religious or political affiliations.

This donation is expected to bring relief to many families in Zamfara State and help reduce the prices of food items in the market.
