Fresh CVR registrants hit 10.4m – INEC

Independent National Electoral Commission says fresh registration in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration has hit 10,487,972.

INEC revealed this in a CVR update Quarter 4, WK 11 released on Monday night in Abuja.

The report showed that 8,631,696 registrants had completed their registrations with 3,250,449 via online and 5,381,247 through physical registration.

It also showed that 4,292,690 male and 4,339,006 female registrants have completed their registration.

The update also showed that 6,081,456 of the figure are youth while 67,171 are Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

It also stated as of 7am on Monday, INEC had received a total of 23,560,043 applications, including applications for voter transfer, requests for replacement of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), and update of voter information record, among others.
