Fresh Legal Action Looms Against Sen Abbo-Group….I wont dignify jobless People- Cliff replies

Senator Elisha Abbo, currently in court over sex toy shop assault against a woman, may face fresh trial for alleged breach of peace, a group has threatened.

The group, Adamawa Peace Defenders, has accused the embattled senator of inflammatory commends, capable of breaching the peace of the state.

In a press release signed by Pwanabeshi Alson, Coordinator of the group, Senator Abbo was said to have allegedly referred to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri as one “playing politics of religion”.

“These are reckless words capable of pitching the people of one faith against the other, and we cannot tolerate leaders talking like this at a time when peace is very fragile.

He therefore, gave 5 days ultimatum for Abbo to retract or face legal action.

“We hereby demand with immediate effect the following from Senator Ishaku Elisha Abbo;

“1. A retraction of all his fallacious and derogatory utterances against the Governor of Adamawa State (Video and literature) capable of inciting ethnic and religious crisis.

“2. A written apology signed by him to the people of Adamawa State for his derogatory comments capable of causing unrest, especially in the political arena and among religious and ethnic groups across the state.

“We are giving Senator Ishaku Elisha Abbo a five (5) days ultimatum to meet our demands from today or face a class act lawsuit”, Also said.

In his respond Distinguished Senator Abbo replied that his time is precious to him to start dignifying jobless people who were paid by Governor Fintiri.

According to him Fintiri should channel the resources of the state well for the people, not to useless it by sponsoring jobless elements in an efforts to fight him.
