Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara is confident that nothing can stop him from winning a second term in 2027, if he decides to run. This bold statement was made on Tuesday while receiving a delegation of traditional rulers and leaders from the Kalabari Ethnic Nationality in Rivers State, who endorsed his re-election bid.
The delegation praised Fubara’s leadership and commitment to infrastructure development, particularly the massive ₦200 billion Trans-Kalabari Road Project, which is currently under construction.
Fubara’s administration has been focused on delivering tangible progress, and he stressed that impact and service are more important than time spent in office. It’s worth noting that Fubara’s declaration comes amid a daring challenge from former Governor Nyesom Wike, who recently stated that Fubara and Atiku Abubakar should run for office in 2027 without relying on his political support.
