Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President of Nigeria, has lambasted the current administration’s handling of fuel subsidy management, calling it “haphazard and disingenuous.”
He believes this approach has led to the country’s current economic crisis, with no end in sight to the escalating inflation rate that’s severely impacting Nigerians’ well-being.
According to Atiku, the administration’s lack of concern for the suffering of Nigerians is alarming, particularly President Bola Tinubu, who seems undisturbed by the hardship.
There will be no let up in the escalating inflation rate
“The haphazard and disingenuous approach of the current administration to fuel subsidy management has been the reason we are in this current economic crisis in the country. As things stand, there will be no let up in the escalating inflation rate, which is drowning the material well-being of Nigerians. It is even more worrying that T-pain is undisturbed by the hardship in the country”.
Atiku’s criticism comes after the NNPC announces the new fuel pump price of over N1000 per litre.
