As a former governor of Kano State, Ganduje brings invaluable experience, political mastery, and education to the table, equipping him to manage party dynamics effectively. His leadership has been instrumental in maintaining unity within the party, which is essential for the APC’s continued success.
Ganduje’s governance style has earned him the President’s confidence, not only for his support of Mr. Tinubu but also for his unifying leadership approach. His vision for the party helps retain focus on broader goals, rather than getting entangled in intra-party conflicts.
Those vying for the Chairmanship position should allow the party to follow established processes, rather than rushing into hasty decisions that may escalate tensions
The APC must avoid making the same mistakes as other political parties, which have created unnecessary confusion and fragmentation. Advocates should prioritize democratic norms and processes, such as Congresses, to address regional concerns and ensure the party’s stability.
The call by groups, particularly from the North Central region, clamoring for the Chairmanship position to be returned to the region is well understood, but they should wait and do it the right way through Congresses.
Mohammed Rabiu Bako, an elder statesman and senior citizen from Kaduna State, aptly notes, “the mango is not yet ripe.” Those vying for the Chairmanship position should allow the party to follow established processes, rather than rushing into hasty decisions that may escalate tensions.
By maintaining a cohesive approach and addressing regional concerns through established party processes, the APC can ensure its continued success. It’s time to put the party’s interests above individual ambitions and work towards a unified goal.
