Community leader while presenting a potrait gift to ADHA Speaker
Worried by the deplorable condition of its road network coupled with unabated cases of insecurity, Gaya Community in Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State has made a passionate appeal on the government to rehabilitate its road network to ease the movement of goods and services.

However, the community has raised alarm over increasing cases of insecurity most especially kidnapping in the area, and called on the government to urgently intervene in order to rescue the community.
A Stakeholder in the community, Williams Wilberforce, made the appeal while leading other stakeholders of the community on a courtesy call on the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, in his office yesterday.
Wilberforce, decried the horrible state of Gaya road and requested for government intervention so as end difficulties faced by their people, explaining that the dilapidated nature of the road has affected the socio economic activities of the people in the area.
He told the speaker that the rehabilitation of the road would make life easy for their people as well as boost food production and socio economic activities in the area.
Wilberforce, further lamented how kidnapping has become the order of the day in the area, and called on government to decisively and urgently address it.
Responding, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, who represents Uba/Gaya constituency in the house, appreciated his constituents for the visit.
Rt. Hon. Iya Abbas, promised to channel the issues affecting them to the authorities concern and pledged to see to the rehabilitation of the road.
