General CG Musa Leads Nigerian Contingent in Show-Stopping Display at Cameroon’s 53rd Unity Day in Yaoundé

Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa OFR, led a distinguished delegation to grace Cameroon’s 53rd National Day, known as Unity Day, in Yaoundé. The event, themed “Army and Nation United for a Cameroon Turned Towards Peace and Prosperity”, was attended by President Paul Biya, senior officials, diplomats, and thousands of citizens.

The vibrant celebration showcased Cameroon’s unity and strength through military exhibitions, defense equipment displays, solidarity treks, and ceremonial parades.

A standout moment was the Nigerian Armed Forces contingent’s performance—the only foreign presentation at the ceremony. Their precision drills, lively musical displays, and flawless regimental coordination captivated the crowd, earning thunderous applause and widespread praise.

General Musa’s participation highlighted the deep bilateral ties and military cooperation between Nigeria and Cameroon, emphasizing their shared commitment to regional security and prosperity.

Speaking at the event, he expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed Nigeria’s resolve to strengthen partnerships with Cameroon and neighboring nations to tackle security challenges and foster socio-economic growth.
