Speaking to journalists, Prof. Caleb Fili, Adamawa Regional Coordinator of the Obedient Movement, described Peter Obi as more than a politician but as “an ideology whose vision for Nigeria transcends ethnic, religious, and regional divides.”

“Peter Obi is a symbol of integrity, competence, and hope,” Fili declared. “He represents the possibility of a united and prosperous nation. We urge every well-meaning Nigerian to support this movement—it’s about rescuing Nigeria, not just supporting one man.”

The group demonstrated their commitment to Obi’s values by distributing food items to indigent residents in Yola and visiting the Yolde-Pate Correctional Centre to share gifts and birthday cheer with inmates, reflecting Obi’s compassion for the marginalized.

Engr. Dauda Adamu Ali, Director of Political Engagement for the Obedients Movement and a senatorial aspirant, praised Obi’s leadership qualities. “Peter Obi has consistently shown transparency, accountability, and empathy,” Ali said. “I urge voters in Adamawa and across Nigeria to rally behind him. He’s the only candidate with the proven willingness and capacity to fix this country.”

State Coordinator Lucas Dongelma highlighted Obi’s track record as Governor of Anambra State, emphasizing his prudent resource management. “We support Peter Obi because of his achievements,” Dongelma stated. “He managed public funds wisely, invested strategically, and left a lasting legacy. He stands taller—intellectually, morally, and administratively—than any other contender for the presidency.”

The event also underscored optimism about emerging political coalitions ahead of 2027. Prof. Fili welcomed coalition talks but stressed the need for merit and credibility. “Any coalition to reset Nigeria must be built around character and vision—qualities Peter Obi embodies,” he said.

Peter Obi, a former banker and businessman, became a political phenomenon in the 2023 elections, mobilizing millions of Nigerian youths, professionals, and diaspora communities under the Obidient Movement, which redefined electoral engagement in Nigeria.
