The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division and Commander, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), has embarked on a mission to boost morale and assess security efforts in Plateau State. During his operational visit to frontline locations, the GOC toured various sectors and Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) in Barkin Ladi, Bokkos, and Mangu Local Government Areas.

He was briefed on the challenges faced by troops and their immediate needs, and in response, he praised their efforts and emphasized the importance of professionalism and dedication to their duties.
The GOC also paid a courtesy call to the traditional ruler of Mangu Town, His Royal Highness (HRH) Mishkagam Mwaghavul Da John Putmang Hirse, and assured him of OPSH’s commitment to securing the region and maintaining peace. HRH expressed his gratitude for the visit and pledged his ongoing support for the peace initiatives.

This visit is part of the government’s efforts to consolidate on the gains of security and peace building in Plateau State, as outlined in its PEACE, SECURITY AND GOOD GOVERNANCE plan, which aims to promote sustainable peaceful co-existence, equitable development, and inclusive governance.
